Syria is currently undergoing a unique economic renaissance which has been spurred by the government’s rigorous commitment to the liberalization of the economy and by progressively opening up its financial system to both private sector and foreign direct investment. We believe this is a very exciting time to be doing business in Syria and we hope to play a large role in the development of its nascent capital markets.
Investment banking is still a new product in Syria but we are confident that we will be able to leverage our technical expertise through our partnership with HCSI and our extensive local experience with the private and public sector to unlock opportunities for leading local enterprises and international investors alike.
One of the major opportunities that investments in Syria provide is unparallel access to a regional market of more than 300 million consumers. This is made feasible through Syria’s numerous trade agreements with Turkey, Iran and the Arab world, its abundant natural resources, the availability of affordable and trained labor as well as cheap operating and shipping costs. In turn, Syria is undoubtedly the premiere platform for any regional or international investor that wishes to engage in business in the Levant or the MENA region.
HC Syria aims to serve as a gateway for Multinational's wishing to engage with leading Syrian companies to create strong, financially sound and enduring partnerships. This is coupled with our commitment to provide world-class advisory services to prominent enterprises in both the public and private sector to aid them in scouting and assessing potential financial opportunities.
As part of our strategy and our commitment to developing the local financial sector we also intend to hold workshops, seminars and round-table discussions to increase awareness about investment banking services, valuation methodologies and to discuss the benefits of taking on financial and strategic partners.
